Our Mission

Founded in 2020, HUBAS strives to help create a better community for all through:

Alumni Networking

•        We plan to serve as a network for Harvard Buddhist alumni and faculty, through online and in-person events. We hope to work with relevant and interested societies on campus.

Supporting Secularism and Interfaith Dialogue

•        We encourage efforts to ensure that the University remains secular in nature and help create a safe community for all, regardless of religious beliefs.

Promoting Awareness of Diverse Communities

•        Diversity is important to the University community. As the very diverse facets of many different communities are often overlooked, we hope to encourage awareness of the diversity of Buddhists both in Asian countries and in the United States. We hope to facilitate understanding of these groups within the Harvard community, and of Harvard in those groups.

We are working towards official status with the Harvard Alumni Association. Your support is appreciated in filling out the petition.
